Ward Boundaries Consultation

Do you know Salford?

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England is reviewing every ward boundary in Salford to make sure each councillor represents approximately the same number of voters.

Changes to our population mean that Broughton, Little Hulton and Ordsall now have more voters than other wards while Irlam has fewer. The Commission wants to rebalance this.

It’s your chance to take part in their consultation and say how you think our ward boundaries should lie. You know which streets, which parks, which buildings you consider part of your area and your local knowledge will be vital in helping the Commission draw up proposals.

You can have your say from now until September 3. All local views will be taken into consideration and then the Commission will come back to the city with final proposals for further consultation between 6 November and 14 January 2019. Any  changes will be in place for the elections in May 2020 when every council seat will be up for re-election.

Have your say at https://consultation.lgbce.org.uk/node/13206 or email  reviews@lgbce.org.uk or write to LGBCE, 14th floor, Millbank Tower, London SW1P 4QP.
