Rotary Club of Irlam

Founded in 1969, The Rotary Club of Irlam are a part of Rotary International which in 1905 was the inspiration of Paul Harris in Chicago, USA.

The club is a charitable organisation and Irlam lives up to that, giving freely of time and energy to maintain the look of the district with wonderful flower displays and also giving grants to projects at a monthly meeting.

The club arrange an annual Father Christmas float that visits most of the districts streets in December and is notably visible at Tesco’s store. Also they are present at the Annual Summer show and R-w-G Carnival.

Irlam branch also have several members on the Irlam & Cadishead Poppy Committee that acknowledge and help raise awareness and funds for the annual Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
