Cadishead Grange Bowling Club was formerly founded as Cadishead Conservatory Club in 1892 so we are 134 years old!

We play Crown Green Bowls and are a very friendly club that welcomes new members, whether you want to bowl socially or get involved in competitions. We have a kitchen, club room, and a disabled toilet, as well as four qualified coaches. The club is a secure facility and is floodlit for evening bowling.

Our club can also be found on Play-Bowls.com, where you can book sessions for children’s parties and team-building days.

Day/time we meet and play:

Cadishead A play on a Monday in the Warrington B Team League and on a Friday in the Warrington A Team League.

On a Wednesday, both the Cadishead A and Cadishead B teams play in the local Irlam & Cadishead League. All matches start with a draw at 6:30pm, with play beginning promptly at 7:00pm.

On Mondays from 2:00–3:00pm, we run our Bowl for Health programme. Some members also come along to bowl socially at this time, and coaching is available for both groups. Male and female coaches are available at this session.

Youth bowling takes place on Thursdays from 4:30–5:45pm and is led by two qualified coaches and a SENCO. BCGBA membership is free for under 18s, and club membership is £10 per year. Several of our junior players represent the Greater Manchester Youth Team. New members are always welcome.

We are also working in partnership with School Games Organisers to deliver school outreach sessions, helping to introduce more young people to Crown Green Bowls.

We work closely with Salford Leisure and Salford Local Authority to support community activity and development.

In addition, we expect to be working with the local Youth Service, offering sessions on Monday and Friday evenings.

We will also be running new bowler courses in 2026—ideal for anyone who is completely new to the game and wants to learn in a relaxed and supportive environment.
