Salford Health Works

Salford Health Works is a locally-run programme that supports people in Salford aged 18-65. They work in partnership to help people to make positive and lasting changes to their lifestyles that will improve their health and wellbeing.
They offer health and wellbeing support and support to move into employment.

HOW DOES IT WORK? The focus is on working with you to make manageable changes that will improve your health and wellbeing on a day to day basis.
They understand that everyone is different, so they will put together a plan just for you.
They offer support with things that are affecting your health. Here a just a few of the things they offer support for:
Low mood
Weight management
Exercise
Smoking cessation
Alcohol reduction
Social isolation
Low confidence
Financial, benefits issues and Housing

They offer specialist support if you have issues like financial worries or benefit problems. When you’re ready, and if you’re looking for work, then they can help you with that too. They can offer access to training, volunteering and work experience opportunities. They also work with lots of employers in Salford, so they can help you find local job opportunities.

HOW DO I ACCESS SALFORD HEALTH WORKS?
To access the programme you’ll need to be referred by your GP Practice.
If you haven’t spoken to your GP or Practice Nurse, but are interested in the programme, then make an appointment with them.
